lil-minx92
Im pizza crazy and hear Nonna's has opened a pizza place where the ice cream shop was down the side of their restaurant. Has anybody been? Is it eat in or take away? Is it wood fired oven pizza? And is it any good??

quisquose
I'm sure it's very nice, but I refuse to go there anymore after the shenanigans they pulled a couple of years back.
lil-minx92
Right! I've located a website / menu .. http://www.nonnas.co.uk/download/feature_pages/2/0/ and already im starting to think the place is a rip-off! Isnt street food suppose to be cheap?? £10 for a take-away margheriita Ok its a 40cm (too big for one / enough for 2?) and the quality ought to be good if Nonnas... but.. take a look at this place I visitied in London recently. It gets rave reviews from the big food critics 'best pizzas in Britain' etc. Less than a fiver for a pizza to eat in or take-away, and this is in London. And it was the best pizza I've ever eaten and I've had a few! http://francomanca.co.uk/menus/FM.North.autumn2012.Menu.pdf I'll shut up now.. maybe someone has been and can say it's worth the money. Hope so!

AnthonySUFC
The best pizza I have ever had is from the hotel I stopped in this year on my Holiday to Egypt. It was awesomely good... id even contemplate paying another £1500 (were a two weeks all inclusive 5* resort) out for the holiday just to go back and get one
andygenovese
Avoid it. (Just a humble suggestion from a humble Italian guy).

Hope so! An 18" pizza is huge, easily enough for two to share so £10 ain't bad at all, especially if it is an authentic style Italian pizza rather than the greasy crap you normally get from UK takeaways. jb
Goooooogle
We had a couple a few week-ends back. Toppings were good - a cut above the average. Dough was quite good but a little inconsistent in the thickness which resulted in some bits being better cooked than others. I prefer a thin base. Note the 40cm refers to the length - they are rectangular. I thought it slightly better than Italian Express (which seems to have gone downhill a little recently..).
