callippo
I would guess that it would continue to be the United Kingdon of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. except it would only be two-thirds of the size, that it used to be.
Plain Talker
IS Wales a foreign country? Well, I don't know about Wales, but I can tell you that my sister was convinced we'd need our passports to go visit my aunt in Oxford!!
Annie Bynnol
Possibly because the words Wales/Welsh mean foreigner in the original german and the use of country with a small 'c' could refer to any area of land. Products often have 'Made in England', Made in the UK', 'Made in Britain' labels etc. The manufacturer may or may not want to localize their product for marketing purposes. For example Penderyn Welsh whisky wants to sell itself as a Welsh whisky so it is happy to use labels accordingly. OT but HP Sauce is labelled 'Made in the Netherlands' and it can't call itself the Great British Sauce. But it says 'original' !
Rupert_Baehr
Are you saying that the HP sauce bottle no longer says: "Cette sauce de haute qualité est une mélange des fruits at des épices orientaux"? Is nothing sacred? How are schoolchildren supposed to learn French without a primer written on the sauce bottle?
S10mainly
The Welsh for England means Lost Lands, so I guess they feel they lost those lands to some foreigners
Lucifer
Wales is a Principality of England, that is why the Union flag has the cross of St. George, St. Andrew and St. Patrick. The Welsh tried to " leek " in the " dragon " but it did not work.
Lucifer
Wales is the most foreign country in the world, they have a language that the government gives money to ensure that the language spoken by 22% are in the north, thats why they never go abroad to England because no one understands them including some of the more enlightened Welsh in the south. They lost what was a land of Celts to succesive invasions by people from Northern Europe
