yellowperil
You obviously have no experience of child abuse. You'd be very surprised at the capacity to remember something that was imprinted on your mind while being forced to surrender to perverts. Yes generally kids don't know politicians, but generally children don't get raped or abused so as to have to remember. Apparently us mere commoners spend millions on under-age sex tourism, and child/infant pornography isn't manufactured for the elite, it's manufactured for perverts regardless of blood colour. I think youre deliberately missing the points made, they were very clear. dont you think it would be a good idea to publish names and pictures then to maybe help things along? This enquiry is specifically about accusations made against politicians and people in power,im not saying its just the elite. you seem to have your own agenda. yellowperil
Great news. I still think it needs more than just one person heading it to make it as transparent as possible. Wonder who we will be Presented with next? Maybe another non-impartial head so they can use the excuse that no-one seems good enough to chair the enquiry and delay it actually starting for a bit longer! Let them all get their alibi's in place!? Hmmmm I bet there will be a few that were no-where near where the abuse they will be accused of took place at the time! (yeah right!) Hotel bookings that prove that,or meetings with other accused people that all have time to be sorted in the meantime while they are stalling! This needs to be a criminal investigation not an enquiry. Possibly, yet you want to name them along with photographs in order to convict or eliminate. You seem a mass of contradictions. dont you think it would be a good idea to publish names and pictures then to maybe help things along? How does splattering someone picture all over the press who wasn't near the crime help?
anywebsite
They don't have to have a report published before they election for it to be used as a tool, pure speculation will be enough to dish the dirt. Perhaps not at the moment but it will be. Nobody can use it as an election tool unless the other parties tell us what they'd do differently if they win the election. I keep hoping it'll be used as an election tool.

anywebsite
Media speculation and public opinion are all that matters; sling enough mud and some of it will stick It'll stick to all parties unless one or more decide to really do something to investigate it, find the truth out & bring any perpetrators that are still alive to some kind of justice. Otherwise it just looks like Labour & the Lib Dems are as deep in the cover-up as the Tories. You'd think it'd be more than just a couple of bankbenchers kicking up a fuss about it before an election. Mr Bloom
A criminal investigation followed by a public enquiry needs to take place, not this farce. Why are the police not conducting their own criminal investigation? Are the police run by our policiticians or are they truly independent, are they waiting for the government to say its ok? Why are they not acting independently and conducting their own enquiry? This is an opportunity for the police to show they will leave no stone unturned and can be trusted and have moved on, after the fiasco of the Hillsborough Disaster. Who should make up a panel to lead this enquiry? Politicians have been named, celebrities have been named, security services personnel and members of the police force have been named, people working in our child care institutions have been named. People who represent childrens charities have been under the spotlight in the Savile case. Who is left? Who can we really trust? Maybe we should be asking those who have been abused? Who is championning for the case of the victims? I only see a handful of people on the internet. Honestly, could you name one person who you would like to see on an independent panel? ---------- Post added 14-07-2014 at 15:47 ---------- Some VERY interesting questions being put to the Home Secretary now, live on Skynews.
