I didn't say they did forge it. I said they made it for forging. I think some of the steel was sent across the river to me forged at a component factory. truman Posted October 29, 2012 Share Posted October 29, 2012 Sadly many of these 'British' cars are only assembled here with a large proportion of their components sourced from abroad, thou I accept the jobs that these provide are better than most of the growing number of low-paid temporary jobs. I visit several customers in the West Midlands all working to produce car compnents for here and abroad...from suspension struts to extruded rubber seals..genuine question so don't take it the wrong way..do you get out of Sheffield much and see what's happening or are you driven by headlines..?
