Mouserat
We love Three Corners of China and think it's one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants we've found - it even does some spicy frog dishes, although last time they were replacing some with rabbit. But we struggle with the portions - about £9 a main, and they're huge. I think they're really designed for a group of 4 or 5 people to share 3 or 4 dishes. I ordered a rabbit hotpot dish and took half of it home. http://www.threecornersofchina.co.uk/menu.html Pho 68 is OK, but a little canteen style and when it's busy, it can get really noisy. There's a great hotpot restaurant just off the Moor, BUT they don't have an English menu and they only do hotpot / drypot. http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/community/food-for-thought/dip-in-to-enjoy-some-pot-luck-szechuan-style-1-3625417 I believe Noodle Inn have just taken over Jabu, now called Beijing Hotpot, on London Road, but I've not tried it since the change. For something a little different, a new Korean BBQ restaurant, Gingseng, has opened in the West One complex (between Wigs and Warpaint and East One noodles). We went there the day after it opened - the food was fun (grill in the middle of your table) and tasty, but the service was a little haphazard - bringing part of what we ordered, not really being able to advise us on the menu. I'm hoping that they just need a little time to settle down and find their feet.
thgr8unicorn
Hmmm I might give either 3 Corners of China or Hui Wei a try. They sound pretty good w regards to the atmosphere coupled with the food!

LiamC1979
Zing Var on the Moor - the oldes in Sheffield and still incredibly busy - must be a reason? Personally, I find the food excellent and the staff are great too. The most authentic Chinese food I've had outside of Hong Kong.
