luisa Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 Sharrow Lantern Carnival Fundraiser Friday 9 November 2012, 8pm The Old Junior School, South View Road Price £5 on the door/£4 advance Entering its ninth year, Creative Action Network’s Sharrow Lantern Carnival will be back in spring with a parade of beautifully hand crafted lanterns on the streets of Sharrow. Celebrating a theme of ROOTS the event is open to residents across the city and people can take part by creating their own lanterns or just by turning up on the night to watch the magical display. With over three thousand people attending last year, the Carnival is proving to be a huge success and organisers are working hard to ensure that next year’s is bigger and better than ever. To help make this happen Creative Action Network is holding a fundraising event on 9 November at The Old Junior School on South View Road. There’ll be music from the Flamingo Love Parade, Carl Dubcats and DJ T-Funk along with carnival performers, teapot cocktails and a selection of unique beers from new Sheffield brewery, On The Edge making for a real good old knees up!
