Sam @ Dearne
Nice one redrobbo, Phanerothyme is being a bit contradictory here, either that or his idea of Urban Socialite is a bit different to mine. Thanks for the useful input genesiscouch, you are a fountain of wisdom. I'll see you in the Runaway Girl then? Slinky
defstef
The Showroom is an Urbane Socialist Bar. It's certainly not operating within the parameters of a free market economy the way they run that place, always cadging a tenner off big eurobrother. Prices aren't very socialist though: just for those more equal than the rest of us.

defstef
Thanks for pointing that out. I would have been forever ignorant were it not for you. Thanks again. Thanks.
defstef
There's also a massive difference between urban and urbane. I noticed that. I did.
PROJECT
I think you are definately right about chimps, whoops i mean champs slinky. There are a lot more city living developments than the ones on west street, and although there are quite a few students in the bigger ones the smaller ones contain a much larger % of young professionals in my experience, who would have previously moved to the hunters bar area. The increase in city living has and will continue to improve the nightlife in city centre, weather they contain students or not, the increase of numbers of people living in the city centre increases the demand for these 'urban socialite' bars. This is of course down to personal preference as if you dont frequent these types of bars then more of them will be of no consequence to you.
