We’re back with another edition of the funkiest, rockin'ist, twistin'ist, shakin'ist, skankin'ist 45s night in town. Expect a bucket-load of funk, soul, reggae, real r&b, latin, afro, b-boy jams and more! All on 7″ vinyl.

BRETT FRANKLIN

A collector of rare and obscure 1970s Soul/Funk on original label vinyl for over 30 years, Brett will have a tonne of 7" heat for his Thirsty Ear debut. He's a tricky man to catch playing in Sheffield as he DJs mainly across the UK, as well as at big soul weekenders in Europe.

 

DOUBLEDOWN

A long time friend and supporter of Thirsty Ear, we've grown tired of him stealing the rider - so this month we're making him work for it. He's promising a set jam packed with R & B stompers, dusty grooves and sweet soul music to keep your legs-a-shakin' and your feet-a-dancin'.

 

LE CRUNCH

Another Thirsty Ear debut from our secret weapon on the night. Her eclectic selections take in 50s doo-wop, rollockin' R&B, northern soul, heavyweight stax funk, and maybe a couple of jazzy numbers too.
