Popular Sheffield Jazz band The Seven Shades will be returning again to La Mama Wednesday November 7th. Expect to hear Swing Jazz, Bossa Nova and oodles of the 'old classics', including the likes of Cole Porter, Louie Armstrong, Miles Davis, Antonio Jobim, Wes Montgomery and Duke Ellington. The Seven Shades are a trio consisting of John Draper (piano and vocals), Ricardo Moreira on drums & percussion and Stephen Mosel (double bass). Performance starts 7pm...don't miss out. -- * -- We are now taking Christmas bookings. Should you wish to celebrate a Christmas party with us we would be delighted to have you. We have a Christmas set-menu starting from £15 per person now available - ideal for any size of group - please just email lamama.latin@gmail.com should you wish to be sent a copy. -- * -- Our Tapas Happy Hour Monday is proving popular. Remember that every Monday, all night, you can take advantage of our Happy Hour offer - 4 Tapas for £12. This offer also runs Tuesday to Thursday 6pm to 7.30pm. -- * -- Salsa classes are taking a break until the start of next year, however Kizomba classes are still each and every Saturday afternoon from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. -- * -- Finally we now have on display at La Mama a fine collection of photo's and prints from our very own Daniela - 'Travels through Latin America'.
