Anyone else had a cold for this long?

The common cold, of which there are many many strains are caused by viruses and do not respond to antibiotics. Sadly some docs still prescribe antibiotics just to get rid of patients. Some complications of a cold i.e chest infection may respond to antibiotics.

 

If the world keeps consuming antibiotics at the rate we do, albeit much use/misuse arises from intensive farming, then it wont be very many years before many infections that used to kill routinely before the advent of antibiotics, will once again become life threatening.
