Tom Williams "The scary thing is, the man wasn't arrested for burning a poppy - that's not illegal. He was arrested for putting it online."

Jamie's Pants - "We do not have a right to not be offended. We certainly don't have a right to lock up someone for offending some people"

And Thom Lumley - "Dear idiots at Kent Police, burning a poppy may be obnoxious, but it is not a criminal offence."

I've read the report and can't see where it mentions that the guy was a Muslim. It says 'a 19-yo man from Canterbury'. That is of course not to say that he isn't a Muslim.

Either way, someone burning a poppy is one thing, but posting it on social media seems a bit odd. He's probably retarded like most people these days who do things like this. Some of the Twitter responses are equally ridiculous, and nonsensical.

You need to change the title of this thread & have a good, hard think about what you post & why. The article in the Daily Mail about this is quite specific. The teenager who burnt the poppy is called Linford House. House is said to be a member of the Snowdown Colliery Rugby Football Club, where his father Keith is club captain.

Take a look at his picture GreenWeb, he's a young white man with blond hair. Here's the link to the Daily Mail

Now backtrack & apologise.
