keep us informed of what happens going down the route you have chosen ,and good luck

Yeah, will do

BTW for others (Nikki-Red, etc.), it seems there's no set template response (which I was looking for) to these anymore ... all 'cases', 'fines' and invoice companies are different so you'll have to trawl through the Pepipoo / Money Saving advice pages, like I did, and find a case that's similar to yours and adapt to suit.

Watchdog have covered this issue several times and there are videos on youtube if you search for them.

My staff, visitors and myself get parking tickets every week from Excel parking in Broomhill and we just ignore them. I have had letters from Baliffs, Solicitors trying to scare me into paying these fees and I will not pay them through principle as I feel my business should be provided with enough permits to staff and business visitors to administrate my business. I have spoken to Excel to enquire about getting more than two permits and been refused. The excuse is that they only allocate two permits per business, and they say they have spoken to the owners of the land and the owners have refused to agree to give me more passes....Therefore I am not paying.

The first letter I got was in 2011 and I didn't pay it, and have not heard a thing from them. I await their next move, and anticipate it going knowhere. Everyone should stop paying these fear mongering companies, who are extorting large amounts of cash from the people who they scare.....be brave and make a stand. Be counted and feel good about saying "no".

Driver parked briefly in a disabled bay near to rear entrance at Crystal Peaks in order to escort 89 year old lady passenger to entrance doors and got ticketed (see pic). They got the reg correct but not the make of car, does the rest of it seem correct?

Its a speculative invoice , its not enforcable . Also there is no such thing as a "Disabled parking Bay " in a private car park , they are merely pieces of Tarmac with paint sprayed on them ....... they have no validity what so ever. Only disabled bays in council run car parks or on street disabled bays are genuine and can be enforced.

Thanks, I'm familiar with the gist of what's going off, but driver was considering going down the POPLA route, and if nothing comes of it, which I don't think it will, at least it's cost them time and money.

That ticket states they were in breach by not displaying a disabled badge in a disabled persons parking space. The blue badge is only "Valid" when used in an official disable parking space in council car parks or on street disable bay . The cowboys at the parking companies know this and are just trying it on . They dont have a leg to stand on .

Unlike you to be factually incorrect Mr Penistone.

The Blue Badge guidelines actually states "Off-street car park operators should provide parking spaces for disabled people. However, it is up to the car park owner to decide whether badge holders can park free of charge."
