Anna B
Now (Monday 19th November) 8.0pm - watching Channel 4 'Dispatches-MPs are they still at it?' about MPs expenses - again! Interesting. I sugest you watch it. Also followed on BBC1 by Panorama at 8.30 - 'How to Dodge Tax.'

Interesting. I sugest you watch it. Also followed on BBC1 by Panorama at 8.30 - 'How to Dodge Tax.' Gist of 'Dispatches' for those who didn't see it. Some MP's are now renting their London homes to other MPs and charging rent, whilst also claiming rent to pay for another London home to stay in themselves. In other words swapping addresses and both charging rent from the other, paid for by the great British taxpayer - again. Also some MPs who live within daily commuting distance are also claiming rent allowances. Not against rules apparently, they're exploiting a loop hole again, but morally indefensible. Tip of the iceberg....

Anna B
Oh, OK. I didn't see it. I didn't think I was getting much of a response. It's surprising tho that there hasn't been the same level of outrage over this. Do you think we get so used to such malpractise where MPs are concerned that it no longer shocks? green
Let them keep pigging out. Then at the next election less idiots will vote for Lab/Lib/Con.

Mr Prime
Yep the fools will forget all about that and vote for the crooks again, jesus its true the old saying that a country and its people get the government it deserves. More tap room wisdom. Unless most MP's are doing this while being supported by their leadership then yours is a meaningless point. The thread on the whole is pretty stupid and seems to translate as "all MP's are evil and politics is all rotten". I'll watch with interest to see if the majority of the population have such deterministic views and make the turnout below 50%.
