top4718 Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Dont believe the hype about switching, you often end up with a large outstanding balance from the company you are escaping and the company you go to will follow suit and raise prices to match the others any way, a no win situation. The privatisation of the utilities was supposed to encourage competitive pricing but all it has done is encourage a group of energy companies to monopolize en masse, while the government happily picks up its increased VAT.
