Ok we all know what a traditional pub is like say the fat cat, but there are many that are not so onvious these days is the forum a pub or a bar and what about Bungalows and bears or the frog and parrot for instance? Dont think theres as much diffrence as there was. I would say that the difference mainly depends on the drinks they serve. If a venue pays decent attention to cocktails then I would call it a bar. Go ecclesall road first, studio 557 or Menzels, then fly to west street there's a street full of bars, great music atmosphere classy and not trashy ... The Hop (West One) then basically all the bars along Division Street are good. Then there's Leopold Sqaure, if you like the older lady/gent.
