Is a certain race a fixed thing, or might it be something else..you decide

It is suggested that there is no biological basis for race, and that human differences are learned rather than the result of genetic givens. The result not only leads to self-serving prejudice but often to violence.

This is my argument, borrowed of course to make the point. So here are the facts:

The earliest visitors from Europe to the coast of West Africa were the Portuguese; in the Krio language, they were called "Oporto" (`white man').

The earliest European visitors to the Eastern Arctic (after the Vikings) were also the Portuguese; in the Inuktituk language, they were called "Porteegee" (`black man').

When even the same Portuguese sailors can give rise to very different categorisations and labels, we are alerted to the even greater complexity of dealing with different interpretations of the same persons.

When the same group of Europeans were seen (categorised and labelled) as light skinned by West Africans, and as dark skinned by the Inuit (Eskimo’s for the ill informed), this tells us that there is more happening psychologically here.

So maybe the ideaof race is based on personal perceptions, shared and learned, and accepted as fact, when in fact it appears to be more fluid, which might make some rethink the idea of race, while the rest remain stuck in the past....bigots.

Facts?

No facts there.

"Facts" in the C/T mind are not the same as facts in sheeple...... They can be altered at will to allow the belief in two totally contradictory beliefs, as long as the CT truther is on the higher level that allows them to understand the truth we sheeps fail to see
