This project is the first time we've presented a whole text by another writer: Perec's fascinatingly complex radio play - the first ever production in English. We hope some of you can join us. An inventive, irreverent and intoxicating linguistic dissection of the poem, the play uses computer programming protocols, randomization, Beckett, algebra, French, proverbs, Italian, Lewis Carroll, geography, biography, Nietzsche, Napoleon, Schopenhauer, Verlain, Schiller, Rimbaud, Brecht, Dickenson, Neruda, Borges, German, Kierkegaard and KFC to achieve its goal. Third Angel return to the Crucible Studio with an in-the-round theatre production of Georges Perec’s innovative 1968 radio play, the first ever production of this remarkable piece in English.
