Halibut
Cameron wouldn't be allowed to join UKIP as he supports gay marriage. UKIP, as well as the BNP, oppose it and are showing their intolerance on the matter by deselecting candidates who are pro-gay marriage. http://www.chesterfirst.co.uk/news/118932/ukip-candidate-forced-to-quit-over-support-for-gay-marriage.aspx It's not particularly surprising, but I didn't actually know that till you pointed it out. UKIP; xenophobic and homophobic. Whatever next?

Whatever next? What makes you think they're either? UKIP has gay members. The leader is married to a foreigner.
Jeffrey Shaw
Every UKIP member I've met - including N Farrage - has been one lettuce leaf short of a salad. I thought that UKIP was the provisional wing of the BNP. So you thought wrongly. Don't worry; it happens.
LeMaquis
It begs the question why he bothered joining UKIP at all. Well UKIP don't have a good track record when vetting candidates - Steve Moxon and Geoffrey Clark come to mind. Jeffrey Shaw popped up when we were discussing Clark's pro-euthanasia programme to say it was good to tolerate different opinions. I wonder if he will with this one. Farage's wife is gay? ---------- Post added 15-01-2013 at 17:49 ---------- Hah- I 'popped up' before you did. So do you support Richard Lowe's right to be different in the same way you supported Geoffrey Clark's.

Jeffrey Shaw
So do you support Richard Lowe's right to be different in the same way you supported Geoffrey Clark's. I tend to favour the view expressed in post #90. Mr Lowe's policies do not seem to accord with UKIP's policies, do they?
Halibut
What makes you think they're either? UKIP has gay members. The leader is married to a foreigner. For what other reason would they deselect pro gay marriage candidates? They don't support equal rights for gay people. They're homophobic.
Jeffrey Shaw
They don't support equal rights for gay people. They're homophobic. You are confusing two quite different ideas, there. It's entirely possible to hold that: a. sexual discrimination is wrong; yet b. marriage involves- by definition- one man and one woman.
