SevenRivers
No but they do seem to attract extreme righties. UKIP initially supported Clark and only caved in to the criticism, not to his views. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/dec/18/ukip-candidate-abortion-for-downs-syndrome I still think it strange that a party that tries to come across as Christian and anti-abortion should attract nutters like Clark. Maybe that party in Germany in the 30s that I mentioned earlier is their model for a Christian, anti-abortion movement. UKIP is also quoting Lord Ashcroft's research that I mentioned earlier. Funny that when I quote things about UKIP that UKIP itself acknowledges UKIP members come on here denying it; http://www.ukip.org/content/latest-news/2904-ukip-winning-support-because-we-say-the-things-that-need-to-be-said Saying the things that need to be said. Famous last words for Geoffrey Clark. Clark and Ashcroft are both entitled to their opinion. Luckily neither constitutes UKIP policy.
LeMaquis
Clark and Ashcroft are both entitled to their opinion. Luckily neither constitutes UKIP policy. UKIP doesn't seem to have a policy on abortion that I can find. Even the Irish are coming round to legalising abortion. Maybe UKIP would like to come out of the 1950s too. Maybe UKIP would like to come out of the 1950s too. So you can't find a UKIP abortion policy, you've no idea what a UKIP abortion policy would be, but they should still "come out of the 1950s". You must be worried about UKIP to keep peddling your anti-UKIP prejudice, it's even clouding your common sense.

Labour 1940 and Labour 2012 are two very different parties. Eugenics went into steep decline after 1945. Most recoiled from it once they saw where it led – to the gates of Auschwitz. The infatuation with an idea horribly close to nazism was steadily forgotten

Guest sibon
By being liberty-supporters, neither left- nor right- wing. It is a lovely thing, this attempted rebranding. It won't wash though. How does being libertarian sit with UKIPs vehement opposition to gay marriage, for example?
