JSA, Income Support, ESA and Child benefit all to be CUT

Recommended Posts

Many posts on here make me sick ! Blame politics, economics or whatever suits you ! People on here go on about 1% increase for JSA frozen for the next 3 years, Wow This equates to 71p a week, not enough to buy half a loaf of bread ! People are called scroungers because they are out of work The jobs just arent there to be had !

What should we do to satisfy the lucky ones that are blessed with work who think people on benefits are scroungers, and feel people claiming should be made to feel ashamed because a small proportion of their taxes go on funding a crisis that is man made ? Is the answer to Strip them of assistance ? Suppose we try it and lets see what happens ! Anarchy, Riots and stealing to survive would ensue.

Politics weren't an integral part of the Earth when man came about. It was about Survival eg food and shelter, basic necessities to survive !

Politics are man made by clever people Who will always make sure they are at the very top of the ladder and dont give two hooks about the poor classes Two words come to mind here, Selfishness and Greed.

How about we make sure that some benefits are paid on a voucher / card scheme, where the only things that can be bought are essentials.

No ciggies, no booze, no gambling, no Sky TV, no premium brand goods, etc.

Let's provide free public transport for those without work, free educational courses (in the basics English, Maths, etc).

In 2012 nobody should be hard up for a loaf of bread. If they are they need their heads bashing.

The UK offers Jobseekers, tax credits, income support, disability benefits, pension credits, state pension, child benefits, crisis loans, heating allowances, furit and milk allowances for children, housing benefits, tax benefits, subsidised or free bus travel, mobility allowances, national healthcare, food banks, homless charities, accommodation and shelter, hostels.

If someone is that poor they cannot afford basic food they need to get their act together and manage their money better. If they are incapable, one of the many taxpayer funded services are there to support them.

BS they cannot afford it. BS selfishness.

You're not living in the real world. It is possible to be poor and to not be able to afford the basics. Benefits are becoming conditional, sanctions are becoming more widely used, claims can take weeks to process.

Sometimes people are left with no money, often through no fault of their own. How do you manage your money if you have none?

The man who wrote it has publicly gone on record to say he wrote it, the man who received it has gone on record to say he received it. What more could you possibly want?

He also went on record as saying it was meant as a joke. Did you forget that bit. It was never the official accounts of the Treasury, just a bit of paper with a joke on it, left in a drawer.

Admittedly it was a badly judged joke, blown out of all proportion by the manufactured outrage from the Tories who after all had no problem continuing working with the Bank of England to magic £375bn out of thin air.

You'd end up with what happens in every other system of that type. People will exchange the vouchers for things they really want, probably in a black market where tax and duty are not paid. It would be ultimately utterly self-defeating.
