max
The article on mumsnet is a copy of the Guardian one... For heaven's sake, will you accept Hansard as an acceptable source?
Supertramp
Wait, Relative poverty is 60% of the Median Wage. That is £15900 a year. That's not poor! Bonkers! People need to get a grip and see how the rest of the world live.

I like your sig: Great Minds Discuss Ideas Average Minds Discuss Events Small Minds Discuss People I'm just sorry you don't see fit to read it now and then. WeX
I like your sig: I'm just sorry you don't see fit to read it now and then. I'm sorry you continue to post your pseudo-marxist drivel for us all to read, but hey its not a perfect world is it. I note you fail to respond to the subject though, just like the rest of your little group of "pig-headed unwilling to look facts in the face" back-slappers And while on the subject of signatures, only someone like you would completely miss the irony of quoting the Daily Mail. But then again, socialism is an idea. One that has failed countless times, but still an idea. Obviously not a point you noticed. Maybe I should change my signature back to: Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Still attacking the poster. I suppose that's what toeing the capitalist line leads you to do, being bereft of arguments of substance. Can you identify any of my posts where I post Marxist views, whether pseudo or otherwise?

Can you identify any of my posts where I post Marxist views, whether pseudo or otherwise? Its called retaliation as you took offence at my comments about socialists, attacking me trying to make a point about my signature that was laughably wrong, but then again why change the habit of a lifetime. Again, the old, if you're not with me you are against me. You socialist types should really get better at debating as your silly notion that anyone who is not a socialist is therefore a capitalist, is rather dimwitted. And I cant be arsed to trudge through your posts to find comments that are marxist in thinking. That would mean reliving your comments and I have no need for a sedative. None the less the mods will soon be here anyway and our little tussle will be lost forever, so keep hanging from that lamp post citizen max and scream at the top of your voice "power to the ill-informed". chow. Supertramp
Ok, enough of the bickering, someone tell me why 15900 makes you poor? Can't afford what? A car? A holiday?, you sure as hell can afford to eat, stay warm and dry, get free healthcare from the NHS and much more. So all in all, it is a load of baloney.
