You are so right. They have been conditioned into thinking all benefit claimants are scroungers by propoganda in the media, when this is far from the truth. Unfortunately the only thing that will convince them otherwise is to be in that position themselves. Good luck to your friend, I hope he gets sorted, or better still another job.
