Green Web
As title, how much would you say for which nutritious foods?
mart
£25 for one person to eat healthy for one week.
*_ash_*
I agree with mart. I've lived on that (or thereabouts), and not lost weight, or any notable health.
Isabelle
I try to spend less than £20 a week. I very rarely buy meat because its too expensive. I like making my own casseroles, I add some mixed beans and it makes it go a lot further (and is healthy, they're full of protein and fibre). My next challenge is to make a nice veggie curry from scratch.
Halibut
£20 - £25 sounds very reasonable to me. You can eat well at that.
Tradescanthia
Eat what your body tells you to eat............... Curries, beer, more beer, fish and chips, burgers, pizzas. Real healthy food. :hihi:
alwaysright1
How can you get food for 3.57 a day or £1.19 a meal
Tradescanthia
It costs more than £25 to feed a prisoner. Skimping on food is stoking up future health problems. Eat well, then worry about the rest.............
S10mainly
Buying the food for one person for one week should easily be under £25 - Probably be easier to make it a fortnight for under £50 though
geared
Yep with 50 quid you can buy in some multi-buy deals on meat to last 2 week, then the rest will get you plenty of fruit and veg for a fortnight.
