We had a great night and Milton Jackson certainly lived up to his reputation. 2012 has been another good year for Delve Deeper – we’ve had some great parties and consider ourselves lucky to have such a great crowd turn up each time. We’re especially grateful to all the DJ’s who have joined us in making each party a great success. As a thank you, we’ve decided to throw one more party this year, returning to the home of our infamous bank holiday day/night parties – The Washington. Keeping things simple, we’re making it a free event – no charge at all. We’ve also secured some excellent DJ’s who will give a fine mix of everything deep (not to mention bringing in a heavy sound system)….we present. Evans (Fear of Flying/Stranjjur/Deep Edition) Local lad Daniel Evans (Evans & Waterfall) has continued to push his sound in the world of house music. 2012 has seen a huge success as Evans continues to produce and release tracks as well as starting up his own label, Dilate Records. This has already made a great impact with his debut single being remixed by the likes of Adam Shelton and Droog. 2013 is shaping up to be a big year with bookings and appearances filling up within the UK and beyond and many tracks waiting to be unleashed via Dilate and countless other labels. Keep your ears to the ground. Nigel Fischer (Society) We’re really pleased to have Nigel down to play. We’ve been a fan of Nigel for many years. He has pushed his unique blend of deep house and funk across countless nights and parties in Sheffield including Society. A technically gifted DJ with a great ear for quality music, Nigel will definitely make this a great party. Jonny Stevenson Little introduction needed here. We remember Jonny being referred to on a flyer/event description as a Sheffield legend and we cannot really dispute that. Jonny has guest and held residencies at some of the best nights and clubs Sheffield has seen. Expect an eclectic mix of deep and U.S. house music. Carl Dean, Nic James & Dave Robinson (Dalén Light) 3 great DJ’s and regulars on the Sheffield scene for some time now. 2012 has seen another great year for these guys, both as a collective and individual DJs. Saturday 15th December also sees the 1st anniversary of Dalen Light where they will host the basement of DLS with Nick Lawson headlining. Definitely a party not to be missed. Chris Aldworth & Warren Watson (Raw House Grooves/Secret Soireé) 2012 has seen Chris and Warren set the foundations on their production partnership. Together they have been putting in the studio hours working on some deep material ready for 2013. They have also launched their maiden night ‘Raw House Grooves’ with an impressive opening party. We’re pleased to have them back at Delve Deeper for our NYE event. So that’s that…..a free in event for fans of deep, underground house music with a guaranteed great vibe. We cannot wait for 2013 as we have some special parties planned – keep an eye out for the invites. Delve Deeper at The Washington. We have some great things planned for 2013 and hope to release some details very soon of our first event (via facebook and Sheffield Forum) - we're really excited about it to say the least As for the Washington, we always enjoy ourselves down there, roll on the 31st and hope to see you there. unique Posted December 31, 2012 Author Share Posted December 31, 2012 Just a polite notice, if your planning to go to The Washington later - the front door and bar will be closed from 11:50 and both reopened after midnight to allow the door and bar staff to enjoy a well deserved break, plus opportunity to see in the New Year.
