flamingjimmy Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 If their God says it is a sin to be gay then I don’t see how they can marry a gay couple without condoning that sin, they can’t just change what they believe just because the wider society finds something more acceptable than it did a few decades ago. Sure they can, they've done it before. Just look at how the CofE's stance has changed over the years when it comes to women. in 50-100 years or so they'll all be rather embarrassed about this foolishness. But the point is it doesn't matter who you love and want to marry just that you do love someone and want to marry. You shouldn't be told you can't. Thats oppression and its wrong. I am not a fan of the royals at all and find them to be anachronistic but would anybody seriously attempt to justify a potential monarch having to step aside because of their sexuality when science could easily assist with reproduction and the preservation of the bloodline?
