Daven
So how many patients will need to be attending on a Sunday and who wont have been rescheduled? ---------- Post added 04-07-2014 at 13:56 ---------- Well the website provides a different picture to the one you were describing. If they have to attend daily they can't be rescheduled. Read the website - where does it state anything different to what I have saying ?

Riannon
It seems a little odd to close all the access to the biggest hospital in the county. A bit of route planning and it could have been left accessible, you'd think. A bit of route planning and it could have avoided the hospitals and showcased a few of the rather nicer bits of the city. Daven
How many people does this affect? Does it matter how many - one person who is denied the chance to spend the night at home when they are very unwell is one too many - surely. Does your username suggest you work in the health care arena? Edited July 4, 2014 by Daven
Riannon
Err, it HAS avoided the hospital! It hardly sounds that way if it is disrupting patient care. It doesn't have to pass through the wards to disrupt hospitals. So avoiding hospitals would entail a route that didn't cause the disruption of folk who require medical care. Does your username suggest you work in the health arena? I think it does matter. If theres only one person that's a lot different situation from a thousand. Whats important for the patient is they get the care they need, which they are being provided with. If they are so ill they need daily care, then they will be used to staying in hospital overnight as a matter of routine.

Please draw a 12/14km route through the city that totally avoids both the NGH and Hallamshire and also means nobody has to take a longer route to get to it. In your own time...
