Titanic99
Looks like they've done all they can to keep this out of Derbyshire, I wonder if there's been some disagreement there as I thought it would come in from Fox House. As it is, it looks like it might be going up Jenkin Hill and dropping down to Tinsley!
Blue Day
Going up Jawbone Hill at Oughtibridge makes me sweat just thinking about it. Great news - only problem is deciding where to watch, we live near Worrall / Bradfield so many options are available!

neepsendlane
Leeds has tonight shown us just what a backward City Sheffield is. A magnificent show has been put on in the centre to show the World just what they will be getting by bringing the Greatest free show on Earth to Yorkshire. They have included some well known Sheffield sports people in their presentation and Toby Foster is the master of ceremonies. And what has our own fair City done to show the World that the tour will also be coming here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Leeds funded the bid, it is also where the whole thing will start. Should York have also had a big party, and everywhere else the tour is visiting - or is this just a 'bash Sheffield Council' rant? Eater Sundae
I don't see how they'll be able to come in along Penistone Rd, the cycle path isn't wide enough.

Not really, as Leeds is hosting the actual Grand Depart ( Sheffield is just a stage finish city ) which will be an event lasting a few days leading up to the actual start on the Saturday it was expected that Leeds was going to put some sort of show on to coincide with the official Grand Depart route launch today. Don't worry, over the coming 12 months the world will get to know that Sheffield will host the finish of stage 2.
