Annie Bynnol
For a fully zoomable map you can (windows7) Click http://letour.yorkshire.com/the-route Right click on the Click here or on the map to get closer Choose the Save target as... option Remember where it saves it. The picture is called "Route2Large" Go to the folder where it was saved. Left click on "Route2Large" and it will zoom up as many times as you want. In Leeds they will see a slow start. In Sheffield we will get the fast finish.
neepsendlane
Leeds funded the bid, it is also where the whole thing will start. Should York have also had a big party, and everywhere else the tour is visiting - or is this just a 'bash Sheffield Council' rant? No it is a fact . We seem to take great pleasure in moaning that everthing happens in Leeds but when we have some thing as big as this given to us on a plate we act like the poor kid on the block. What would be wrong with a large banner or two hanging from outside the Town Hall or a small reception for the people responsible for bringing the biggest annual sporting event in the World to our City. So if you think this is a bash Sheffield rant then you are right. Julie get your finger out and buy a banner.
Eater Sundae
Looks like they've done all they can to keep this out of Derbyshire, I wonder if there's been some disagreement there as I thought it would come in from Fox House. As it is, it looks like it might be going up Jenkin Hill and dropping down to Tinsley! If the map is to be believed, it looks like Jenkin Rd, Newman Rd, Barrow Rd, then possibly Tyler St and down Jenkin Rd and then Meadowhall Way, OR possibly, down the steep bit of Barrow Rd, then Meadowhall Rd onto Meadowhall Way. I presume it has to go clockwise around Jenkin/Newman/Barrow, otherwise it has to cross over itself. Edit: Somewhere around the bottom of Jenkin Road might be a good viewing point - to see the group twice Edited January 17, 2013 by Eater Sundae
airborne rat
Hope Amey pull their finger out and get the ex-street farce mongos out with their cold asphalt filling in the potholes on the route - could be embarrassing when half of the riders fall off on our crappy roads. Some roads probably still have belgian style pavee (I can't do the accent on this tablet), well, cobbles in our case, under the tarnac. I say don't repair the roads at all, then we can have our own "Hell of the North".

Rampent
The route should take in Parsons Cross IMHO.
