steviered
Some relations of mine kept the Pheasant for a while back in the 60's John and Agness Hillbert, I think Aggie could be a bit cantankerous to say the least.
vicarry
My father-in-law,who has now passed away and I knew your grandfather, the pipe smoking Erich who lived in a bungalow on Crowland Road. We used to meet him in the Pheasant and we always stood in passageway between the concert room and the bar. He was a really nice man and I gather a very astute businessman. I hope this reply will be of interest to you. vicarry

lazarus
I just wonder what the outcry would be if a Mosque was bought and turned into a pub?
mafya
I just wonder what the outcry would be if a Mosque was bought and turned into a pub? If a mosque was sold than it would be because it is no longer required as a mosque, so I wouldn't imagine any outcry would arise.
