Millhouses animal sanctuary

Probably because he has had enough?

I think anyone who feels he has no cause for complaint should ask - would they swop places. Its wrong to blame this guy. Barking dogs can drive you in sane. the sisters will be the same I'm sure. The dogs should not be barking - they should be kennelled so that they are stress free and don't see too much passing activity.

I'm sorry but I do not see this guy as the guilty party just because he's lived next to a sanctuary doesn't mean he has to enjoy noise that animals make. Lets hope that enough people have donated to ensure that kennels can be re designed and blocks/screens installed to reduce barking and stress. I really feel that this should not be an attack on a neghbour problem as it can cause so many problems which I am sure it has done.

Dogs - stop barking - you are on your way to finding new homes so stop causing trouble.

I got my Frank for Mill House. He was well fed, well socialised but I must admit a little stinky.. but that is pups for ya.. the man who is complaining has lived there for over 40 years. I know who he is, will not disclose on here, but I will say I don't know him personally. My thoughts are that he is wanting to sell his property and thinks the sanctuary may lower the price of his house therefore he wants it closed down. It was there when he bought the house and he has lived there for many many years so why now does he complain about noise????? but thats just my view...

Yes well I'm glad this idiot didnt didnt get what he wanted and the animals are safe. There are somepeople out there just in it for the money and have no conscience and this guy is one of them. I hope the animal sanctuary continues as it does a great job.

Exactly Okra. I'm all for sanctuaries managing to operate and the sisters deserve every bit of help they can get but I do feel for this guy if he has a genuine reason and so many people are saying he should accept it.

The way forward is that the sanctuary needs financial help to redesign the kennels to ensure the dogs are comfortable, in adequate kennels, don't see passing people walking past AND they get all these people on here who are supporting them, to offer to go up and walk the dogs - thats all that they want - out of the kennels.

i wasn't aware they could see people walking past that would explain all the barking then

i hope they do manage to sort it out for both their sakes & the animals :(

I dont think its that they will see the public walking past - its anything at all that moves dogs will bark at. Anything at all. Other dogs, cats, livestock - if they are bored (which they have to be cos they are in kennels), they bark.

If people would stop breeding and stop dumping us rescues wouldn't have to exist and pick up all the pieces. Yeah right, look at that pig.

Oh gosh , no not a dig Fabc, not at all.

Just didn't want people to think that maybe the kennels had a footpath near there or anything like that. I'm sure they don't and are positioned as best that they can be where they are. Its just those damn dogs will bark if they get to see things. Shame though it is, if they get walked at least 1 mile each day and then don't see passing things - MAYBE just maybe they will shut up.

There is no easy answer thats for sure - the only easy answer is for dogs not to have to be in rescue - but in the meantime, rescues just try their best. I just hope all the offers of people on here in support of Millhouse will donate money and time to help them

You are a good friend to animals in need Fabc, you do give up time and effort to try to help them so honest , no dig intended.
