Anna Glypta
They bought HM Place mats! What a disgrace, this government is so out of touch. They aren't out of touch but clearly you are. "A Stonehouse company has been given a Royal boost after providing a set of placemats for the Queen. Lady Clare Limited, based in the Oldends Lane Industrial Estate, provided 60 bespoke, handmade mats with images of Buckingham Palace on them. They were given to the Queen by the cabinet. The tablemats were suggested as an appropriate gift by Buckingham Palace, a spokesman for Prime Minister David Cameron said. The cabinet also made a donation to the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, set up as part of the celebrations to mark her 60 years on the throne. And the Foreign Office has announced that an area of British Antarctica has been named Queen Elizabeth Land".

Well there you are then,if it's good enough for your gran then it's good enough for any OAP.Although it may cost the jobs of half a dozen keepers of the royal feet. NorthernStar
Today, the Queen has somewhat curiously become the first monarch to attend a peacetime cabinet meeting since the 18th century. As well as some place mats the queen was given a 169,000 square mile chunk of the Antarctic as a Diamond Jubilee gift(very strange!). It would appear that in reality, this is infact a provocative act against Argentina, because part of the newly named 'Queen Elizabeth Land' overlaps an Argentinian claim of the Antarctic. 'The new name is likely to increase tension with Argentina, already simmering because of its long-standing claim on the Falkland Islands. Argentina does not recognise Britain's sovereignty of the British Antarctic Territory, and has a counter-claim that overlaps Britain's territory.' Is Mr. Cameron and friends trying to instigate a war on behalf of the banking cartel known as the IMF, do we need or want another war and is this what Ms Lagarde of the banking cartel means by 'sanctions'? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-19709273 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/queen-elizabeth-II/9752856/Part-of-Antarctica-named-Queen-Elizabeth-Land-as-gift-for-Diamond-Jubilee.html
