I can just see mobs of thugs ransacking harming, and burning he homes of those people - which is all very well if they are the only ones living in it. Women of lower caste have been continually abused by men of higher caste, , except that in India it had strong religious undertones. India, , is not a monolithic nation. States such as Bengal and Kerala (both States with very high education level and a history of left leaning governments) are probably safer for women than both the UK and the USA. Delhi is specially bad and has been so after a massive migration of Punjabi refugees in 1947. These are also among the most violent and martial group of people historically in the Indian subcontinent. Delhi is also the centre of a very corrupt federal government system that awards vast government contracts to the highest bidders of bribes...
