francypants
Can anybody remember having to cut both ends off every roll of wallpaper then having to re-roll it so it would be the right way up ? If you didn't cut it straight then it wouldn't line up when on the wall !!! It's a doddle nowadays but I still hate it.

It's a doddle nowadays but I still hate it. my sister worked for blaskeys when they were up dixon lane in the sixties and they were taught how to knock the ends off the rolls of wallpaper by hitting the ends very sharply on a hard table edge, she taught us how to do it and it worked most of the time, I can still remember having to cut plenty though.
