Totally and utterly wrong, I've been before and after and the food was/is still great, I've taken people to the Milestone who have not been before and it is now a favourite of theirs too.

Your comments merely sound bitter.

excuse me but as you I'm entitled to my opinion and I think its gone down hill since read the reviews then and now if you don't wish to take my word for it

Dont need to read reviews I've eaten there many times before and after the TV programme and the quality hasnt dropped by any margin worth commenting on.

Someone with your grasp of English shouldnt be calling anybody an idiot.

i have to agree with a previous comment about "fischers" at baslow.really fantastic !
If the OP goes, he can ask if they remember my 40th...I bet they haven't had many senior ENT consultants standing on their chair and singing in French in their dining room since we were there :hihi:

Bit further away, but I'm also hearing very good things about the Pipe & Glass Inn near Hull, which we'll try to test this year.

Have you tried Burton's Restaurant in Hillsborough? the food and service are excellent, i think they only open twice a month and its pretty hard to get in but its definitely worth it! Its a restaurant with a difference!!

Hi, are there any michelin star resturants in shefield, taking my girlfriend, 30 th, any recommendations, cheers.

Michelin Star restaurants in the Sheffield area include Fischers' at Baslow Hall (http://www.fischers-baslowhall.co.uk/) and The Old Vicarage (http://www.theoldvicarage.co.uk/index.php).

As for other good restaurants, suitable for a celebratory meal, I would recommend...

Artisan (http://www.artisansheffield.co.uk/Artisan_home.html)

Devonshire Arms (http://www.devonshirearmsmiddlehandley.com/)

Losehill House Hotel (http://www.losehillhouse.co.uk/)

Nonnas (http://www.nonnas.co.uk/)

Samuel Fox (http://www.samuelfox.co.uk/)

The Beauchief (http://www.thebeauchief.com/home.html)

The Milestone (http://www.the-milestone.co.uk/)

The Wig and Pen (http://www.the-wigandpen.co.uk/)

Wasabisabi (http://www.wasabisabi.co.uk/)

West 10 Wine Bar (http://www.west10winebar.com/)

The following are also worth consideration (I either haven't been or went so long ago I can't really comment)....

Barratts Bistro (http://www.barrettsbistro.co.uk/)

Marco at Milano (http://marcoatmilano.com/)

Morans (http://www.moranssheffield.co.uk/)

Rafters (http://www.raftersrestaurant.co.uk/)

Wherever you go - enjoy!!
