sheffeeld
Hi all, the other day whilst driving the rear wiper on my 04 Ford Focus just stopped and stayed in an upright position. The front ones work fine. Before I go and get new fuses, relays, I just wanted to asked something. When the ignition is turned or if the engine is on, every 15 secs or so, I can hear a faint click coming from the wiper motor, so does this narrow it down further? I'm assuming its trying to get to its 'resting' position but can't. Any help would be grateful.
WOOFY
Sounds like it needs a new wiper motor. It's a common fault on Ford Focus's.
sheffeeld
Yeah suspected as much. Are these easy to replace if I get one from the scrapyard? Or am I best buying new?
geared
If it's a common fault then probably a good idea to buy it new, a used one will only fail sooner if it has the same problem. or go without, just clean it every so often.
