Bloke in the social club my dad used to frequent recycled the tab ends out of the ashtrays, broke em up to get the loose tobacco and then rolled up fags using bits of the News of the World. When he lit them things it was something to behold - a flash of flame and smoke, all finished in a matter of seconds and little bits of burning tobacco floating everywhere. That was the late 70s.
