Debk
HELP!!! when marking out to fit a kitchen hinge, how do i figure out where to drill my hole on the carcass. The hinge broke so I bought some new ones from B&Q the original holes on the carcass are now in the wrong place perhaps the hinges are a different size? Do i have to set the hinge to its max settings or min settings. Are there any websites that would show me, or better still would anyone recommend someone who could fit it for me at minimum cost (I live Crookes). euclid
You will need Forstner drill bits to drill the proper holes for these type of hinges,i bought mine from Screwfix http://www.screwfix.com/p/forstner-bit-set-5-pc/17412?kpid=17412?cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&gclid=CJm2zq7t1rQCFe_MtAod1TYAAA

The side that screws to the carcass. The center guides on those forstners are a little to long if you have to go deep for the hinge to sit in. This blum cutter is less aggressive:... http://www.wickes.co.uk/content/ebiz/wickes/invt/500586/Hole-Cutter-For-35mm-Hinges_large.jpg
gym_rat
you dont need to use the supplied screws - swop them for some normal wood screws
