neeeeeeeeeek Posted January 7, 2013 Share Posted January 7, 2013 Bella Napoli on Abbeydale road. Brilliant place, great service and BYO. Was unfortunate enough to go to Piccolos on West Street last week. I am sure it used to be good but it was very disappointing. Service was poor, food very average, house wine was awful, and it's not cheap. They also add 10% for parties of 8 or more regardless of how bad the service is! Certainly won't be rushing back. hillsgal Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I was going to recommend Piccolo's, it's always been fantastic when I've eaten there but I haven't been for a couple of years so I'm a little wary after the comment above. I haven't actually been to any Italian restaurants for at least a year, but our favourites were always Piccolo's or La Scala in Millhouses. Vito's in Walkey was generally pretty good as well.
