smithy266
One of my pals asked me today if I knew of a pub he went to, some years ago admittedly, he thinks in this area, on a road junction, that had a railway carriage as a restaurant/dining room. I said that I hadn't heard of one, but knew somewhere that might give me the answer! The clock's started ticking!

smithy266
No, not one that moves, and he was sure it was in this sort of area, not Buxton.
jaffa1
Many years ago I went to the Sidings on Chesterfield Road , Dronfield and that took on the theme of a railway carriage or waiting room.
Mr Bloom
Many years ago I went to the Sidings on Chesterfield Road , Dronfield and that took on the theme of a railway carriage or waiting room. Ah that's the name of the place. I was also thinking of this. Was the restaurant at Dore Station once a similar theme also?

NorthernStar
Sounds like this isn't an original idea but one I know of is the Sidings Hotel, Shipton-by-Beningbrough, this is about a half hour drive north of York so probably not the one. Saffy
Am pretty sure they do it in the matlock to Rowsley steam train. Check their time tables. ---------- Post added 10-01-2013 at 08:06 ---------- http://www.peakrail.co.uk/Palatine.html. Here you go
