eastbank
Our unemployed brickies could better spend their time building houses, and factories, and hotels - than jamming countries back behind an iron curtain. most of the eastern europeans seem to be plonking on...wait til the others come...get that wall up before its too late.... our brickies seem to be building houses and factories...for the easterner's to enjoy... Chris_Sleeps
our brickies seem to be building houses and factories...for the easterner's to enjoy... You said "our brickies" were unemployed. Now they're building houses to be dished out to Romanian men. Make your mind up.
maxmaximus
Numbers please, not rhetoric. You want me to provide that which you never provide to support your stance. You're unfamiliar with 'skills matching', just because we have people unemployed doesn't mean they have the skills required in the right place at the right time and prepared to work for the going rate. You must have failed to read or grasp my post, the money wasted on integrating immigrants, paying benefits and providing services would be used to fund training for the British. Again numbers please? If we spend £1 on public services for immigrants, and immigrants generate £2 for the Exchequor your argument is immediately flawed. You must have failed to read or grasp my post, the tax they pay doesn't cover the cost of the services they receive or the benefits paid to the unemployed British person that could be doing their job. Well compel the British person to work for the same wage and do as good a job for the customer. Thats the idea. What about Brits working abroad and sending money back here? Figures please not rhetoric. You fail to factor in how immigrant labour has (helped) make Britain competitive, innovative and cost effective. Nope I factored that in and the benefits don't out way the disadvantages.

Our brickies are unemployed because the East Europeans have come over here in the last 10 years and undercut them. This after the building trade had just about managed to get out of the Lump system and arrived at a decent living wage.

Make your mind up. yes they are but not all of them...so those that are help build up the wall...and if those countries want to join the EU club...they put in the same as us....its only fair... make the EU like the premier league...only the rich countries can join...its only fair...then everyone would get a fairer share...of the goodies on offer.. southcoast
If you want to value it, feel free. I'll keep my faith in the poll that is the General Election, which has returned no UKIP mps, and no BNP mps. That might change if UKIP keep increasing their poll rating, lets hope so eh. retep
You fail to factor in how immigrant labour has (helped) make Britain competitive, innovative and cost effective. Explain how 370,000 migrants on the dole helped Britain become competitive innovative and cost effective. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9026401/370000-migrants-on-the-dole.html
wednesday1
That might change if UKIP keep increasing their poll rating, lets hope so eh. UKIP vote will fall from its current 8-9% at the General Election when most of the people who are expressing support for them at the moment, realise they are helping to unseat many of the Tories, and gift Labour the election on a plate.
