barleycorn
Will you lose weight by sticking to it? Yes. Will you put it all back on when you come off it? Yes. Best solution, reduce your portion sizes and calorie intake and eat healthily. Something like myfitnesspal to monitor what you are eating is a good way forward. jb
WeX
Yes it works if you watch what else you eat too, but your body will eventually cotton on to what going on and resist your dieting, so you need to mix it up and exercise too.
francypants
I think the simple answer is, NO save your money just eat smaller portions and exercise more. Then keep it up.
Olive
As many people on many threads have already said, the equation is simple - consume fewer calories than you use. Therefore, you will lose weight IF you stick to this diet. The more important question (and it's the same for any diet) is, WILL YOU STICK TO IT? It will be easy for some people, as it sounds pretty straight forward. However, some people will find it very hard, as it's probably quite boring. Plain Talker
It's a gimmick. Sorry, a money-making gimmick. It's a crash-diet. It involves consuming very small amounts of calories, (about 6-800 calories, daily, if I remember rightly) far less than is recommended for a safe weight-reducing diet. Slow off, means slow back on. Most dietitians recommend not losing more than about 2-3 lbs a week, as a realistic target.
Isabelle
I doubt it would work in the long term. The products are meant to replace meals, and at some point you will have to go back to eating normal meals, and will probably put the weight back on again. A better solution would be more exercise and to look at your diet and replace some foods with healthier alternatives. But it has to be something you like, won't leave you hungry and most of all is realistic, or you'll never stick to it. Good luck!
