Baslow seems to be the place for good eateries, had a lovely meal at the Devonshire arms there last night they have the chef Thomas Samworth formerly of Rowley's and the schoolrooms, amazing food and great decor, the stars review of it is here http://www.thestar.co.uk/lifestyle/features/food-review-devonshire-arms-nether-end-baslow-de45-1sr-tel-01246-582-551-1-5293495 well worth a visit if your in the area

I called in at the Devonshire a couple of weeks before Christmas, I was very impressed by the revamp but thought it looked a bit "chain pub" How wrong I was, the food and service was excellent, if you go try one of the sharing platters for a starter, very good.
