F O S Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Friends of Shirtcliffe Workday - Sat 19th Jan 1pm to 3pm * * Now Cancelled due to weather * * Do you enjoy the pleasure of being outside, practical and hands on? If so why not come along and volunteer to help us to maintain Shirtcliffe Wood and Valley. You don't need to be fit or have any experience to take part; you can work at your own pace all equipment and protective gloves are provided. So pull on your wellies, put on some old clothes and come and join us, you’ll be more than welcome, just come along and give it a go! With help of the Ranger Service we’ll be working in the plantation to the Northern Edge of Shirtcliffe Valley, thinning out trees, general lopping / chopping and litter picking along the way. Meet at 1pm Schubert Bridge Entrance to the woods, on Beaver Hill Road (below and opposite the Fire Brigade Training Centre).
