biggsy
This poor blind woman was conned out of £270 by a grinning loathesome taxi driver He was spared jail too when he's comitted fraud, forgery and theft previously, I think the judge should be imprisoned for exercising such poor judgement  Biggsy... Staffy23
Id like to wipe that smug grin of that dirtbags face. The courts are a joke, no wonder hes smiling. 20 quid says he never pays his victim back or even his fine. Hell no doubt lose his job then claim poverty to get out of it. I hate his sort with a passion.
quisquose
From the article: "But magistrates were told he has been shunned by his community, friends and former colleagues, and sacked from his job." No need for jail. If every criminal was treated in this manner there would be much less crime.
mafya
A disgraceful and despicable crime, should have gone straight to jail.

However also from the article "The court heard Hussain, of Oldham, had previous convictions for theft, fraud and forgery". At what point will not being flavour of the month stop this scumbag from thieving? He should have been jailed.

Public humiliation is feared far more, and is a better deterrent, than jail imho.
Denmonte
It is disgraceful that ShafaK Hussain did this. It tends to make people distrust all such taxi drivers.

It also begs the question, just how much theft/forgery does he have to do before he actually gets a jail sentence. The guy clearly doesn't give a f**k, and a court appearance/threat of conviction isn't enough to stop him. It would be easier to just put him in a jail cell and forget about him. We don't need people like him in the world. Personally I'd just put him in a room and throw the key away...literally
