Tavit
I bet there are a few meat suppliers twitching this morning. "Horsemeat accounted for approximately 29% of the meat content in one sample from Tesco, which had two frozen beef burger products sold in both the UK and Ireland contaminated with horse DNA. In addition, 31 beef meal products, including cottage pie, beef curry pie and lasagne, were analysed, of which 21 tested positive for pig DNA"

uncle eddy
strange that it was "testing" that found it and not the discerning palates of the consumers.
po999
It is understood that nine out of ten athletes who ate Tesco Horseburgers went on to win their race by a short head. Nay, I don't believe that.
maxmaximus
I can't understand why they are taking them off the shelf instead of selling them cheap.

Miss Creant
ie not having read the story fully to know it was sold in Sheffield. Was me back-peddaling.. Also made in Sheffield. Dalepak based in Northallerton. However if you are a meat eater I see no problem with this. Personally I like horse meat. At worst this is a labelling problem. If ya can't spot a dead horse going under the grill, how on earth would you spot a rat ? ---------- Post added 16-01-2013 at 08:09 ---------- I can't understand why they are taking them off the shelf instead of selling them cheap. They couldn't stop them galloping away.
