Possible HPV is there treatment

Recommended Posts

I think there's a sexual health clinic in sheffield where you can go and get advice, that's completely anonymous: you won't be seeing a doctor who knows you, and I don't think it goes on your medical records. And it's NHS (free).

There used to be one up at the hallamshire. They will do blood tests for you, then take it from there with a course of treatment or not, depending on what you have.

What's with all the speculating and could be this could be that, no one knows what it is because they haven't looked at his penis have they? ;)

See my earlier post :)

No, a quick trip to the GUM clinic and they will diagnose this in like a millisecond but take tests to make sure.

HPV is human pappiloma virus. Wart virus. different strains effect different bits of the body. If my memory serves me correctly 7,11, 16 & 18 are the ones associated with genital area and can be a pre cursor to cervical, vulval, penile and anal precancerous and cancer changes.

Go to G U med clinic and have them treated.

You are absolutely correct. HPV is indicated on more than 80% of anal cancers (HPV is not necessarily caught by having anal intercourse).High-risk HPVs ALSO cause virtually all cervical cancers and some some vaginal, vulvar, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers.

Most teenage girls are now being vaccinated against the HPV virus.

It might be genital warts you're dealing with, but just to be sure, you should check them at a specialist's office, I could warmly recommend Renew Skin & Health Clinic, they also have a branch in Sheffield as far as I am aware and you can easily get rid of them. Their specialists are fully trained and experienced with genital conditions so you are in safe hands. If you didn't get rid of the problem yet, or if the condition is recurrent, feel free to resort to their clinic. A friend of mine had a genital warts removal procedure with radiosurgery at their clinic and since then she didn't experience any problems anymore, plus the treatment is completely painless! Not to mention that the staff is extremely pleasant and friendly there and the treatment is also based on your medical history and current health assessment, they don't prescribe treatments just like that! :)

Hope this helped you, or anyone else reading this post! Cheers!
