Those looking for work can't get it, those in it have to work longer?

I've had another one of those short periods when I despair at the type of society being created.

 

On the one hand we've had all the redundancies at HMV,Jessops,Blockbuster and Comet and then on the other hand if you are in work then this week you've just been told you are working longer before you get your pension.

 

Is it only me that thinks this is madness, surely I should be retiring earlier on the small state pension and freeing up a job for one of those out of work to get them off the welfare bill.

 

Complete madness if you ask me!
