L00b
Well I expect the kids of top earners will see some gains-perhaps extra tennis coaching ,more private tuition,a third holiday abroad to name three.Top earners "surrendered" their entitlement to child benefit on 01 January 2013. With the exception of those unjustly afflicted by ATOS (and I'll readily concede that it is an issue), top earners are, to my knowledge, the only section of tax payers to have experienced actual cuts to their total income so far (rather than a cut "on paper", based on benefit increase caps in view of projected inflation). An infinitesimally small point to make (in context), granted -after all, "top earner can afford it, can't they?" (mantra)- but as usual, let's not have facts get in the way of a good rant, eh? SevenRivers
How are they defining poverty, what does it actually mean? Does it mean they are going to starve or sleep in the streets, or that they're not going to get the latest iPhone?
Happ Hazzard
I agree, but until such time as employers pay living wages these tax credits will have to remain. Are you an employer?
