Anybody remember Jacks Sarsaparilla Shop, top of bamforth street?

Jacks was the business. Pinball machine, juke box and weekend supplies in a discrete small white paper bag.

Winters drink shop was at the top of montague Road near the barracks.

This preceded Jacks and was run by old man Winter, it closed early 60s long before Jacks closed.

Just starting to get my bearing after 50yrs saw Bamforth St on Sheffield Pic's what a change to bottom end,all our old houses gone.It was Jacks my bro&I spent all our dinner money in.No pin-ball or jute box in 46 just rows & row of bottles and i think we tried most of them.

Yes I remember the sasparella shop, dad used to take my brother and iI for blackcurrent cordial, dad always had sasparella, I think there used to be 2 drinks shops. We lived in the A B C streets, but they have all gone now. Its been l0 years since i was in sheffield,always loved it, always will miss it.
