JONATHAN MAYOR

One of our favourite compere’s returns to the Lescar. Jonathan is developing into a huge cult. He is one of the finest comperes in the country, capable of settling even the rowdiest crowds with savage wit and a high octane stage presence. When Jonathan arrives, its showtime, engaging the audience both on and off-stage. He is one of the few acts who will not only perform when the stage lights are on, but also wander among the crowd, chatting and charming – truly “hosting” the night.

“An incredible presence on the stage. Mesmerising to watch and an extremely articulate improviser. Fantastic.” XS Malarkey

“A true Diva of our times.” Canal-street.co.uk “bolshy but delightful” Manchester Online

“Stories of his rugby playing days clashed brilliantly with his overly camp persona while his banter with the students was unrivalled.” Mancunian Matters

NICK PAGE

Nick Page got into comedy for a bet, he's still not sure if he's won. He is best known for 3 series of 'Escape to the Country', though comedy is his first love. His material is a surprising mixture of cynical observation and storytelling, drawing on his useless degree (International Politics and Far Eastern History) and inability to do a proper job (he was an estate agent but is mostly cured).

"a huge dose of likeability with some very clever material" Bath Chronicle.

"managed to combine a ready wit with his extensive knowledge" The Stage

NATHAN CATON

Multi award-winning comedian Nathan Caton has been active on the UK comedy circuit since the tender age of 19. He excels in combining both personal, confessional material with up-to-date social and political anecdotes. This has won him numerous credits and plaudits over the years and has made him one of the hottest rising young stars on the circuit. Nathan is now a regular panellist on Mock the Week BBC2.

"an hour of laughs with Nathan Caton. His excellent story-telling skills keep the crowds easily entertained," 3weeks

"Caton is probably the most exciting young black comic on the scene", Fest

"laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media ", The Guardian

"a slick performer with an unbeatable stage attitude and the confident air of someone much more experienced", Chortle
